i really enjoyed this manga for a multitude of reasons

1. the art, while clearly inspired by junji ito, is amazing and adds to the scary elements of the story

2. the mix of horror, comedy and very slight romance is nice and while it is scary the light-heartedness counters it perfectly

3. the story, while usually i like it when stories have consequences e.g someone gets possessed one chapter and is therefore possessed in the next, this manga only does this during arcs and i think it adds to the manga as a whole, while usually (in my opinion) doing that takes away from the story

and ... finally 4. the characters, the main character is likeable, but not it the stereotypical sense. he's a very normal person, who kinda lacks some emotion but still does the right thing. And don't get me started on the main girl, she, while barely if ever speaking, is one of my favourite manga girls ever and is big epic sauce. the side characters are pretty cool as well and are well rounded, the dark idol being my favourite :)

Shibito no koe wo kiku ga yoi is a horror of the day/week manga, but unlike most past events are referenced throughout and there are reoccurring side characters some being likeable and some being total scum like the protagonists best friend and the president of the occult club.
Death in this manga seems to be a regular occurrence with a ridiculous amount of people dying from random serial killers, aliens, curses etc.


While it can be enjoyable this manga is for the most part braindead horror that sometimes feels forced and often horrific events having no lasting effects on characters with them carrying on with their everyday ... life, they also seem to forget the fact that people like the president have caused the deaths of fellow classmates on multiple occasions and has tried to sacrifice the protagonist/others repeatedly.

It focuses more on individual stories than an overarching plot, though it does have continuity in some ways.

Characters: 5
It's Kind of 50/50 with characters either being trash or likable, with likable characters being given less attention than the trash.

Art: 7/10
While influenced by Junji Ito the art has it's own unique look and is particularly good with the expressions.

Enjoyment: 6/10
It is a somewhat enjoyable read, if you ignore the fact that characters don't learn from mistakes and there is no retribution for characters like the president.

Junji Ito : BOOTLEG Edition

A poor man's bland rip-off which contains a heavy filler graffiti EDGY tone. Less gore filled with drastic horror flick. Distasteful scenarios were induce set of crappy panels and teen occultic vibes for people with crippling depression.

In a nonsense way

The series would also consider more than a daily sitcom came from
a b-rated low budget shitty movie where pile of corpse where subsided into bloodlust massacre. There's a bit potential, but along it's premises that lack also it's own current factor. Leaning only the story for such a horrible paced. Despite the background as usual, some of the dialogues which narrated where ... a bit shallow and can't easily to predict what will happen next. Psychedelic approach are far too satirical, and well not executed. Altering the same concept is quite hostile due to the overall between disposable trashy characters being left on mark without insignificant minor setbacks before the series got introduced. Trying hard to get it's own appeal are pretentiously not enough for you to get satisfied through your own unraveling corrupted hysterical mind. Mindblowing gruesome deaths? seems kinda effy.
