This reads like the "cliche" horrors and thrillers of the 2000's, and I LOVE IT. In the afterword Kakizaki expresses his passion for the horror genre and the process and conditions of this oneshot's creation. The manga has been critiqued as mediocre and predictable, however I feel these are unfair inclinations. The Hollywood slasher formula works perfectly for the genre of horror and aesthetic portrayed in this, not to mention the art and paneling draws out a sense of genuine unease.

Mixed Feelings
SUMMARY:Buy it if you like horror and suspense storys even if is generic.
I am not a fan of terror, it does not cause me anything, but I must admit that this work has 2 remarkable things, it maintains suspense very well, in addition its atmosphere is dark, tense and unpleasant, this is supported by the visuals that are really very good, It's good to read it one night you feel like being scared, recommended if you're a fan of that kind of stories, but if not, ignore it.

Resumen:Compralo si te gustan las historias de terror y suspenso aunque sean genéricas.

Apologies if this review is all-over-the-place, since that's how my thoughts are on this short Manga. Reading Hideout is not unlike going to a fancy Italian restaurant and only ordering breadsticks. Sure, the breadsticks are great by-themselves, but there's nothing that differentiates them from any other restaurant. On top of that, you leave on an empty stomach. This sums up Hideout. Neither thought-provoking, nor shocking enough to afford being memorable.

The subpar plot lacks any sense of originality or intrigue to support the meticulously drawn panels. In fact, I'll sum it up for you: A man hates his wife, lures her into a mysterious ...
