Differences: Issei (DxD) comes from a regular family with no special traits or skills, whereas Chiharu's (Maou na Ore) father was the Demon King and his mother is a legendary monster tamer. Differences: DxD has many different types of monsters (Dragon, Devil, Angel, Fallen Angel, etc.), whereas DBw,HgD mainly has one (Shinigami). Differences: Issei (DxD) comes from a regular family with no special traits or skills, whereas Yuuto (Omamori Himari) comes from the distinguished Amakawa family that specialize in Demon slaying with their clans secret skill. DxD is a light novel, whereas Omamori Himari is a manga. read more 

Similarities: Both are action, comedy, ecchi, harem, fantasy, supernatural books. Both are extremely ecchi. Both are light novels. Both main heroes are monsters (Demonic Dragon/Super Human) with extraordinary power that have a harem of various beautiful monsters. Both main heroes are turned into a servant with a master (Rias/Rushella). Both main heroes always show up at the end of each book with some kind of grand entrance and save the heroines. Both have one of the main heroines trying to get the main heroes genes (Xenovia/Mei). Both have a Dhampir as a main character (Eruru/Gasper). Differences: Issei (DxD) was born with the potential for supernatural powers, whereas Hisui (GnCD) was given it by his guardian to save his life. Issei (DxD) actually wants a harem, whereas Hisui (GnCD) isn't interested in it too much. read more 

These stories both feature a main character (who happens be a harem master) caught in a batlle between two sides where good and evil are not clearly defined. Both main characters enter into some extremely ecchi moments although DXD is flavored intentinoally and unsuccessfully pervy for comedic effect while Shinmai's protagonist is forced into his ecchi scenes which are more ecchi and less funny. I would say the primary difference between these two titles is that Shinmai takes itself very seriously while DXD always seems to have a tongue in cheek attitude. That being said I found myself unexpectedly entertained by both despite my initial assumptions that the story's would be non-existant.  read more 

In case you do not know this sereies already, it may differ in its sense of Comedy, but it is aswell something with an evergrowing Harem. So if you really like super big Harems with no real loser either, thats for ya.  

Both are fun, action packed ecchi-harem series that don't shy away from the sillier aspects of their premise, and instead go for them as much as they can.

Both main heroes are turned into a servant with a master (Rias/Liliane). Both main heroes are "foot soldiers" for the main heroines. Both main heroes are surrounded by a bevy of beautiful monsters. Differences: Both are ecchi, but DxD is a lot more ecchi than Kaibutsu Oujo. DxD is a harem story with Issei trying to sleep with all of the women, whereas Kaibutsu Oujo is a romance story with Hiro trying to impress Liliane mainly. Issei (DxD) was born with the potential for supernatural powers, whereas Hiro (Kaibutsu Oujo) was given them by Liliane (also Kaibutsu Oujo). DxD is a light novel, whereas Kaibutsu Oujo is a manga. read more 

Similar kind of deal with mythologies providing the basis for the super abilities. Both are really good and fun to read. MC is Magika is a bit different to Issei in that he usually takes the initiative with his troop. Also both MC's literally set out to become the Harem Ou 

When it comes to relationships, High School DxD and Jitsu wa Watashi wa follows some unusual traits. In particular, the main male protagonist develops with relationships with characters that displays inhuman characteristics. (non-humans) Both series also adapts a bit of romance as their story progresses. High School DxD does have extensive story progression especially in later arcs. On the other hand, Jitsu wa Watashi wa mainly focuses on its rom-com themes with a bit of slice of life. 

Male servant, female master. Ecchi harem, supernatural/fantasy setting. Both servants rise through the ranks to be considered one of the most powerful assets in their respective kingdoms.  

-Ecchi scenes; -Powerfull Gods as oponents; -Lots of mythology; -The harem of girl makes the life of the main cast very lively; -Main character grows more and more powerfull, but is also kind and protective of his friends and the world he lives in. 

The two main characters both have another being living within them that makes them incredibly stronger. Both main characters due to the power up start a quest to make a harem of strong and attractive women. 

Both series are about a perverted boy living a normal high school life until they meet a girl that tells them about fallen angels, devils, and angels or magicians. They then gain powers and level up their powers like mad and gain a harem.

I find these series very similar because of the MC's with dragon based powers, a lovely red hair, a weapon based user as one of the main characters and other stuff in it like demons and dragons. The major difference is that High School DxD is a Harem and takes place in 2 words, the modern and a fantasy one and the MC's personalities, also DxD mixes other mythologies in it to like Greek and Norse.
