Yush! My second review. :D

I just recently read this manga (Thanks to my friend in TinierMe who recommended this to me) and WOAH. It's so super adorable... so cute cute cute.. such a cute manga! Did I already say the word, cute? XD

I've only read 8 chapters so far and I could say... it's one of my favorites already.

The story is a bit Shoujo-ish though (Some of the scenes were predictable and cliche), but since I'm a Shoujo Manga fan, too, I really loved it. It's like I'm reading a Shoujo Manga only the pairing is boy x boy (which I really prefer more). Every ... chapter (or more over, every page) is so exciting. It will make you laugh out so much and will make you squeal. Seriously.

The art is very good, too. Very cute. With bishounen types, cute chibis, uke blushes all the time, etc.

I said super adorable cute (soft) Yaoi Manga, so don't expect something explicit. But I don't know, I've only read up to chapter 8 so maybe the rating will go up in the future.

So if you're up for a very cute, funny, comedy-romance type yaoi manga.. then this one is for you!

This manga really made me go "Kyaaaaaa~"
After reading some yaoi drama, this one is a really good break.
Hilarious, sweet and refreshing.

Story: (Warning: Contains spoiler)
Izumi, a wanna-be mangaka from a celebrity family, acted as a girl in a commercial 10 years ago. Ryouma, a popular star, spent those 10 years loving his cute co-star. Now, they are going to act together again, and it seems that his love would not be returned because Izumi is actually a guy.

Art and Characters:
Really cute art! The characters and background are drawn really well. Facial expressions and other movements are also pretty. I find all of the characters ... adorable. There is no certain annoying or disgusting character, and most of the characters give off cute aura.

Enjoyment:
I am happily smiling in front of the computer, so I can say that I really enjoyed this.

Overall: 9.5 ♥
Highly recommended. (especially for people who read shounen-ai)

It always interests me to see what's newly 'hot' in the yaoi/shonen-ai world, especially those few that are hand-picked to be adapted into anime. Love Stage! is not exactly what I would call a GREAT yaoi, however, it is interesting, entertaining and refreshing enough to earn a good mark. If this is the future of yaoi, then count me on-board.

While the plot sounds as cookie cutter as it gets, the manga manages to subvert some tropes. While the seme (Ryouma) pursues the relationship, Izumi (the uke) ends up taking advantage of his unrequited love, asking him for favors, knowing he won't be turned down. Izumi ... is not whiny, weepy or girly; he looks androgynous but otherwise acts like a geeky boy. Ryouma, though blunt and lacking in restraint or subtlety, is thoughtful, well-mannered and quite tidy. An aspect I found very amusing is how Izumi, from a show-biz family is not at all interested in joining the 'biz and instead wishes to pursue a career in manga - which he has zero talent for and sucks at. On the other hand, he has the good looks, connections and even talent for show biz - exactly what he doesn't want to do. Go with your talent or your dream? The manga also looks like it might be headed towards some role-reversal in the bedroom as well, which is always welcome.

An interesting dynamic as well is that the main two leads are both straight - which has been done before, but is still fairly unusual. This does lead to some very forced set-up and a bit of sexual harassment on our seme's part, however this is one instance where the author handled it well: Izumi is pretty shaken at being feeled up by another guy and only gives Ryouma (the seme) a second chance after he apologizes, loudly, in public. This is yaoi, after all, where entire series are plotted around ukes falling for semes once they've raped them often enough, so it's by no means a golden standard, however, I give the author points for trying.

The point is that the author manages to pull some fresh ideas from what might have otherwise been a stale or boring story. What puts the final layer of icing on the cake is the supporting cast; Izumi's fond and affectionate but rather ineffectual parents, his doting older brother Shougo who spoils him mercilessly and the family manager, Rei, who acts as a surrogate mother to Izumi, keeping tabs on his homework, school schedule, and general comings and goings. When he is depressed, it is Rei who knocks his door down and helps him out. Being gay, he also becomes Izumi's relationship adviser. It's pretty adorable.

Love Stage! is a fun, entertaining, light-hearted yaoi with plenty of well-needed changes to many old yaoi tropes. I'm glad it's getting the attention it is, and I recommend it if you're looking for some hot boy x boy fluff!

A funny story develops between chapters. The plot is not unique, but still made ​​me want to read more and more chapters...

"Sena Izumi is an 18-year-old boy who just entered college. He is a major otaku, and is obsessed with Magical Girl LalaLulu." I fall in love with this character! So funny, real ... and develops during the manga. Really fun to read about him

The art is really great, I think Tsuda was painting the characters just by their personality!

In short, I really recommend this manga to read :)

Yeah... Love Stage!! is okay, and the only way I was able to enjoy it was to consider this as a really bad parody drama. Like, the story is actually interesting, but LS!! has many problematic tropes that unfortunately many BL stories have, and it sucks cause the plot actually has potential.

The characters are stereotypes, not really growing throughout the story, and many of the problematic things they do are laughed off-- this is labeled as comedy, but serious topics shouldn't be just laughed and brushed off.

Art is subjective, so it's not really ''bad'', I just personally don't like it.

I did kinda ... enjoy the story on the first third of the manga, but as the story progressed and characters didn't change that much, I started to lose my interest.

Overall, it's a 'meh' BL manga, and the only reason why I even read it is because many consider this being one of the series that made BL stories popular -- or something.

Story (7): The story was pretty cute. I would rate is a bit higher but there was a whole volume dedicated to a troupe that I highly dislike so that it a personal issue. Otherwise I'd say the plot was somewhat unique for a bl and the love was very genuine and adorable!
Art (10): I may be biased on this one. I outright love Zaou's art. It is so crisp and beautiful. When I see a manga by Zaou I can easily identify it, which definitely show talent!
Character (7): I thought the characters were all very cute but at the same time the personalities caused ... a lot of random drama. I would've traded the drama for more fluff so I didn't like how stubborn and rather self centered Izumi was.
Enjoyment (8): I binged it in one go and thought it was adorable, all except that 1 vol I mentioned before, but again that is a personal pet-peeve.
Overall (8): I think this is a very good BL manga, especially for beginners that are okay with the erotic scenes.

So funny! I couldn't stop laughing! Its a 10/10 manga and its a must read for any BL fan. The characters and story are brilliant, the art is equal parts adorable; hysterical and hot. Like junjou romantica or anything simular? Then you will love this! :) There are some truly priceless bits!

if you hate yaoi mangas I think you'll have a second choice on this one. Well it makes you feel weird for me well it totally changed how I feel when you describe yaoi for me.

Its a very interesting manga very fun to read. You will burst into laughter and often talk about it when you're done reading it. The drawings for me its pretty good but i don't know your opinion. This is ... really the manga I recommend for either your a fan of yaoi or not you'll definitely love this one.

I put 2 thumbs up for this one since it totally made me think again , and its super funny. Oh before you forget if you read this don't show the end part . I kind of regret seeing it but at least .

Yes, I'm a Yaoi fan and this manga is simply amazing. I have seen many yaoi manga and I have never come across such an adorable, romantic yaoi manga

I really love this manga and this is just amazing! Probably my favourite yaoi manga of all! I can say it's not very smut or adult because it really focuses on the plot.

People thought the guy was a beatiful girl but little do they know it's actually a guy! And then there's Ryoma who's been inlove with him for 10 years who thought that Izumi was a girl ^^ It's just so cute! I also love the manager and Izumi's brother!

I give it a 9/10 because it's a really great manga. I love the art and the storyline a lot. I haven't finished this since ... it's still ongoing and I heard there's going to be an anime in June orJuly? and I just can't wait to watch it.

Totally recommend this yaoi manga if you're interested in yaoi. If you're not just try it and you will like it ^^

i really enjoyed the anime and so i jumped into the manga while waiting for the second season. i like it the story was well made though the manga is lewder than the anime, it's still a very nice story and more of seeing my beautiful Izumi. im happy to be able to see more and im excited to read the rest but i would still like the 26 outer chapters to be made into an anime thooo. as i loved the anime very much but there still so much they can add that they didn't and i feel kinda sad that a second season ... isn't seen when there was a live-action remake. but still, this manga has great art, a great story and the characters are very loveable and wholsome.

The anime itself is interesting but the manga is where it really shines
