SynopsisKanako, is the resident class outsider. She has no friends, and her classmates talk about her behind her back calling her a "downer." However, she didn't always use to be like this. Back in elementary school, she was a cheerful, outgoing girl who loved to smile. This all came to an end one day when Eiji, the younger brother of her school tutor and a classmate of hers, told her that she looked "fugly" when she smiled. Even though he moved away soon after, she took his insult to heart and it's been two years since anyone's seen her smile. Now that Eiji's back in town though, what will become of her?!

Waraenai Riyuu is about a girl who stopped smiling because when she was younger, a guy told her that her smile was ugly, even though he really liked her. Then he moved away. He moves back to the same town years later, and there's some complications.
Gokujou Twins is about a girl who became expressionless because when she was younger, a guy told her that her laugh was ugly.... you get the idea.

A girl is misunderstood by her class as being scary because she rarely shows her emotions, but when she does she looks really cute. She does a lot of behind-the-scenes niceties which nobody really notices.
When people start paying more attention to her, she makes friends but also enemies, and there's bullying going on in both. And a LOT of misunderstandings because people can't voice their feelings properly.
The main girls look very similar, and both give off a very similar "innocent" vibe.
