No really.
I didn't give all 10's just because I ADORE Takanaga -sama.
I REALLY loved this. To DEATH.
It was adorable to see those two with ANIMAL EARS~
And the story was cute. But not only was it fluff n' stuff. There were emotionally driven parts to it too.
I mean...not that I would have MINDED it being nothing but fluff n' stuff. But the fact that there's a really good story BEHIND the fluff makes it even better of a read.

About chapters 1-4.6 I can say that the story is very nice, funny and cute. I liked it. I didn't expect to see these two with animal ears and tails.

But when Hinako-sensei drew other 5 chapters...Well... She showed something I never expected! And I think that point of surprise is the reason that I give such a high rating.
I like her drawings. (But I have the impression that most of her characters look like Morinaga)
I like her stories.
I love Hinako Takanaga-Sensei and I hate her at the same time.

And I think the last 4 chapters of Aru hi, mori no naka is another ...

While I don’t think there was a need to dedicate 8 volumes (albeit doujinshi-sized) just to the characters having animal ears, I understand that some of the fanbase will desire exactly that and nothing more, and I can respect the author for delivering the content. However, this is still overally a work of subpar quality.

The art is even worse than the main manga. It’s low effort sketch-like style. Like come on, this being a doujinshi is no excuse for that. And it actually keeps getting works throughout the volumes. Some of those panels are barely legible. Or barely even panels.
