Another B19, huh?
Such a shame... well not really. I'm going to be honest, I was invested in the story, but got let down by the pacing. Like Jesus, this is one of, if not the worst, pacing I have ever experienced in any story I've ever read.
Let's just go into the review.
Story/plot
A girl likes soccer, like a boy on her school soccer team, and tries to be on the team at her school.
Simple premise, right? The execution should be good, right? Wrong!
The thing is, the story starts out very slowly and is fun to read, then it gets into a chapter where you can just
...
speed through the manga. They skipped a whole lot of fun content. I don't know why you would do that. Even if you have to compete with other manga and know you will fail, you should at least try to appeal to your reader, no? I like the art style enough to keep going, but that turn-off just makes me stop caring about the story overall. What a shame.
Illustration
Now, this is a plus, at least.
Like I said, I like the illustrations. It's not the best, but it is appealing. I like the simplicity of it. Not too detailed like action manga and not too simple like SOL manga. Perfectly in the middle. I kept going just because of this. I like to just see the illustration until the manga ends.
Characters
I have to say it!
They actually have a good build-up. The characters are very relatable and very charming. I like them enough to care... but once again, I got let down by the pacing. Such a shame.
Proportions of the manga
It's decent. I like what they do for this manga. I like it.
Conclusion
I really want to recommend this, but I just don't know if people like the pacing or not. I meant it when I said I was disappointed.
Overall 5/10
Perfectly in the middle. I like them enough to care until I didn't.
