Synopsis

The royal palace of the kingdom of Alba Forest received one letter of advance notice. That is, "We shall take the last treasure left behind by the late king to his beloved daughter, Violet." The sender of that letter was a group of robbers called the "Three Beasts." When Violet meets one of them by chance, the crow, her life changes greatly...!

This was one of the first manga i ever read! This manga, Fruits Basket, and Kaichou wa Maid-sama (among others) are the reasons why i still love Romance shoujo! This manga also opened a new world for me considering i had a bit of a tough time finding shoujo anime that i really loved after a while. So i went searching and typed in 'hime' randomly and poof there it was! Before this i had only read Fruits Basket and that was after the disappointment i felt after finding out there wouldn't be a season 2. After that i started reading manga more and more ...

This was a super cute and enjoyable manga. The characters were absolutely wonderful and they developed so well in the span of just 12 chapters. I wouldn't have minded if this were lengthened into a much more complex and detailed story. And even while I definitely could have continued to read much much more of this, the ending was still very well done and left me feeling pretty satisfied and It was not too heart wrenching to say goodbye to the characters and move on to my next discovery. (I often have a difficult time allowing my heart to find a new manga to love). ...

Mixed Feelings

I've decided to leave just a small review, as the others went through most of it all already.
The story is good, interesting maybe, but it lacks depth, the art mediocore and the enjoyment quite lacking. But I have a big ass praise to give. The characters or rather the character develpoment of the heroine. She really changes through the story and we get to see it all. Sure, she has her weak moments +, but she is a fine example of a character development well done. Although i only gave it a 6, i'd still recommend this manga, if nothing else, for the heroine ...
