In a story, there’s a fine-line of an intentional cliché being used to drive the plot and one for pure gag comedy. However, this treads on the middle line where it’s hard to understand if the author purposely made a gag story or if the author intended this to be serious. Either way, in both aspects, it’s done poorly as the gag relief moments aren’t that fun to begin with nor are they serious enough to evoke catharsis. The major selling point of this manga is the demon lord waifu… yeah, that’s pretty low.
