If you like BLs with meta content that make fun of BL tropes, then read this one.

Their premises are entirely different, but both manga make fun of typical BL cliches and characters. If you're a fujo or fuda, you're gonna love this rec.

Comedies about harem protagonists that actively refuse to participate in said harem.

Both MCs want to live a normal life despite their unusual circumstances. Saiki wants to live as a normal student despite being an esper. MC from Zettai BL doesn't want to get involved with BL scenerios despite living in the world of BL.

"Zettai BL" and "Dusk Howler" are comedy stories where the male protagonist is surrounded by beautiful boys who he isn't interested in because he's straight, but "Zettai BL" is a BL manga that makes fun of typical BL cliches and characters, while "Dusk Howler" is a shounen manhwa that makes fun of typical reverse harem cliches and characters, however, "Zettai BL" focuses on romantic moments and everyday life, while "Dusk Howler" focuses on battles and adventures and places little emphasis on romantic moments and everyday life. The protagonist in "Zettai BL" is some unnamed minor character in the BL story who has realized that he  read more

The first and main story of Mobuyama is very similar to Zettai BL; as both have main characters who happen to be mobs in a BL story. However, Mobuyama has two mob protaganosists who eventually succumb to BL; whilst the protagonist of Zettai BL refuses to.

Both stories are about an MC who's aware he's a background character and tries his best to stick to his role. He avoids every romantic encounter thrown at his way for his own reasons and he also often breaks the fourth wall by cracking jokes at the expense of cliches found in his genre of the story.

The similarities between the two manga is that they used bl for humor. Lot of ordinary life or school bl tropes can be found in the stories. The main characters of both series are straight (well for now not sure how it will go in the future). The difference is that in Fundanshi Koukou, the main character is a fan of bl. So he enjoys watching bl moment in front of him. While in Zettai BL, the main character is trying to avoid himself for falling into a bl trope. He's basically attempts to be a background character behind all the bl love stories around him.

Both of these derive comedy from metacommentary of romantic manga character tropes.

The story lines for this manga are not at all similar however, the main character for both of these stories has a similar vibe. The MC is somewhat plain and ordinary but they are also sometimes cute and observant. If you like one MC you may want to check out the other.

both have similar parody premises, one about Yaoi world and the other Yuri world. Zettai MC wants to be a mob that evades Yaoi while Yuri-ota FMC just wants to be a mob that silently watches Yuri.

Meta yuri and meta yaoi, making fun out of the respective genre's cliches.
