Zettai BL ni Naru Sekai vs Zettai BL ni Naritakunai Otoko, Dusk Howler Recommendations
"Zettai BL" and "Dusk Howler" are comedy stories where the male protagonist is surrounded by beautiful boys who he isn't interested in because he's straight, but "Zettai BL" is a BL manga that makes fun of typical BL cliches and characters, while "Dusk Howler" is a shounen manhwa that makes fun of typical reverse harem cliches and characters, however, "Zettai BL" focuses on romantic moments and everyday life, while "Dusk Howler" focuses on battles and adventures and places little emphasis on romantic moments and everyday life.
The protagonist in "Zettai BL" is some unnamed minor character in the BL story who has realized that he
is a minor character in the BL story and decides to protect himself at all costs from his becoming a protagonist in the BL story, while the protagonist in "Dusk Howler" is the naive nerd Kim Jee-Ha who knows nothing about beauty, fashion and romance, but as a result of an absurd set of circumstances, he started playing the virtual game "Trikia" ("Thrace") and, in this game, created a male magician Jaiha who looks like a beautiful goddess or a fairy princess and regularly finds himself in typical romantic situations that you can see in some shoujo manga like "Fruits Basket" or "Boys Over Flowers".
In the original novel, in the real world, Jee-Ha is a nondescript 21-year-old man with an unmemorable face and short dark brown hair, while his playable character Jaiha is a divinely beautiful bishounen with a feminine face and long honey-blonde hair, but in the manhwa adaptation, Jaiha has the same nondescript appearance as Jee-Ha in the real world, so those readers who haven't read the novel usually cannot understand why at the beginning of the story, in the real world, he is a hikikomori, but in "Trikia", he is a popular guy who has a "harem" of several girls and several guys. (Girls rarely appear in the story, so many readers mistake "Dusk Howler" for BL.)
