Clumsiness is not a flaw, but a trait more often than not used for endearing a character to their love interest - guilty as charged for this particular story - and only there as a superficial flaw which doesn't show up when it isn't convenient for the protagonist, which isn't the case for this series. It pretty much words for the first part, yet...
I can't give this a completely shining review because of the ending which ended up happening at a faster pace then the rest of the story line.
I guess a good way to explain things is it feels like towards the end the
...
writer felt like they had to get a whole lot of stuff crammed into that final part which took the chemistry the two characters had and make it feel superficial in comparison.
The same thing goes with how the subject matter is handled, which is often not done very well. At the start of the story the subject matter was handled in a manner where it definitely played with a very fine line of going into the territory of a toxic relationship, which makes sense given the relationship the heroine of the narrative found herself in that led her to meeting her love interest. Then, towards the latter part it ends up rushed and while it still doesn't go into toxic territory, it feels akward progression wise and at the end feels brushed aside.
While the ending wasn't a let down, it also didn't meet the expectations built up from the non-rushed parts.
