Quite disappointed to see people giving Asadora! lower ratings than what it truly deserves. If any of you have read other works of Naoki Urasawa (Arguably the Greatest mangaka of this generation & all-time) like MONSTER & 20th Century Boys, you will know he starts things off a bit slow and it takes a while for him to set everything up perfectly for the story to become a masterpiece worthy title. Asadora is a potential masterpiece. In a handful of volumes he managed to make me feel interest in the story and affection for the protagonist Asa, which has a simple characterization only in appearance.
Urasawa’s drawings are simply exceptional, and the double narrative timeline of the story continuously feeds the suspense and mystery that surrounds the events of the protagonists.
The setting of Japan in the '60s envelops and transports you, and the presence of the supernatural (the search of Asa is about a huge monster) makes you read the volumes of Asadora in one breath.
Please read Asadora, you will not regret it! Trust Urasawa, who has ...

Naoki Urasawa is back with another great storytelling filled with mystery which will make you curious and craving for more. Believe me, Asadora will be the next big thing and its get better and better with every new chapter.

This manga ambience reminds me a lot to the post-war feeling to it and the story build up is just in perfect situation, every chapter will get you guessing on what will happen next. A drama and human nature as part of pretty much a lot of urasawa work is also portrayed beautifully in asadora, including its relatable character and their own personality.

The art style and ...
