Weekly Shounen Sunday fantasy action mangas with a weak minded main character but with something important to do that will change him. In both, battle are based on magical weapons (usually short swords) that bring power from an element or kind of magic. Several deaths, drama, and tints of comedy in the mix.

Taking place in a fantasy world, Tsubasa Chronciles and Arata Kangatari details the adventures of a group of characters with a purpose. Throughout their journey, they learn more about their world and mysteries that surrounds their origins. Both series has relationship bonding between the main characters in which events becomes part of their influence. There is romance in both series as well that is expressed in innocent ways. Recommended for fans of fantasy and adventure with a host of mysteries.

Action/Adventure where both protagonist venture to unknown land in search for artifacts. Meeting various people with abilities and gaining comrades/allies along the way. Arata tends to focus more on the character development whilst One Piece is much focus on the adventure and battle though both share common theme.

Battle mangas that consist on 1-to-1 sword fights in which the swords transforms and contains an elemental attribute and special movements. The sword is also a holder of souls.
