Synopsis

This is the story of a wuss named Sakurai Mikito who one day swallows the creation of a creature called Zakuro and becomes an "oni", a superhuman creature with a taste for human flesh. I'd like to start off by saying this series was ended prematurely. From my understanding they canceled the series after 7 volumes. By the end of the 6th volume a huge climax had appeared. I haven't read the 7th volume yet, but I can only imagine it to be a "rushed job" to reach some conclusion in the story.

Story: 8
The story itself was what caught my attention. It focuses on humanity and the order of things. Within the story there exist a new food chain. There are the ogres who eat humans, humans who eat livestock, etc. and then ***spoiler, don't read the rest of read more

In both stories the protagonists have another being who holds great power living inside of them. The protagonists struggle to keep their humanity against these beings while fighting for a way to maintain balance and order within their lives. Their hidden power makes them targets for those who wish to control that power for themselves.

In each story there exists a group who hunts down the protagonist and a group who protects them with the hope that they will be the key to saving them all. There are several fighting scenes and each character holds their own unique fighting style (more apparent in Naruto).

Both have a lot of plot development, but unlike Naruto, Kurozakuro was short lived and ended abruptly.
It's the same in that they both have something invade the body in which they can somewhat communicate with and the main character struggles to keep his humanity. Keep in mind, the art is not as good and its more grotesque but thye story is good.
