ITS ACTUALLY A CRIME THAT THIS MANGA ISN’T MORE POPULAR, the comedy, the characters, the feels are all so good.
Story: 8 Honestly the somewhat weakest part of this manga but what can you expect it’s a comedy, with the basic premise being a crazy buff demon fanatic human got contracted as a familiar by a ‘weak’ demon girl who is trying to catch her crime-crazy dad. Sounds like not much but the story has so many fun twists and turns that the semi-episodic gag feel of the chapters never gets old. TL:DR ITS GOT ACTUAL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT BABY and that’s rare in comedies now a ... days.

Art: 9 I absolutely adore how the demons are shown to be truly interesting creatures and that the Norman is actually a crazy biologist who just tries to examine and record everything. It makes all the demons that would come off as plain become a lot more interesting and mysterious now that we all they can semi-be explained as actual animals with anatomy. Plus I think the general art for the action and comedy is fantastic cute and cool in all the right places.

Character and Enjoyment: 10/10 Baby I absolutely adore all the characters in this manga. Everybody is introduced quick enough where you get a feel on their personality yet leaves enough hidden to have some extremely fun reveals down the line. They all get their different times to shine and I love how the main duo’s relationship develops as you learn about their initially hidden past. As a plus the ‘Villain’ is truly somebody where you share the exact same emotions as the characters with all the sh*t he stirs up and it makes everybody so loveable.

Overall: 9 If you’re looking for a fantastical action-comedy based manga with a somewhat similar vibe to Marimashita Iruma than this is exactly for you. From the loud duo to the lovable side characters their truly isn’t many things to hate about this manga other than it’s somewhat slow, kinda offbeat beginning but once it gets going IT GETS GOING. Have some time, highly suggest you give it a read.
Plus they get rid of the most annoying side character pretty fast which was a relief.

Interesting idea, but gets old quick. I loved the beginning dynamic between Patty & Norman. Their relationship was funny that a little demon girl's familiar is a human who's insanely strong and obsessed with research. But after a while each story becomes ridiculously predictable, leaving out any suspense or excitement. Every problem is solved last minute thanks to Norman having just the right item for each situation. My biggest problem is the series has an interesting storyline but the characters remain so dull and undeveloped I found myself getting bored. If your looking for some very light humor and extremely basic characters, I think you'll ... enjoy this.

decided to pick up this manga since it looked cute and a fun read. After reading all of volume 1. not really liking it as much as I would've.
It feels like there is no real story going on, not that it needs one. But that could've made it more interesting. Besides that.

The world building is fine, I don't think I've read enough to say much on it, but it has charm to it. The characters are likeable. they can be a bit flat at times though.

But the main issue the the pace. It's fast and I usally don't even notice pacing issues. It feels ... rushed with how fast the story is going. It feels like in vol 1 they are already half way through the story they set up.

It just feel like this book would be more fun if it went deeper into the characters, world, and story. Maybe it wouldn't feel as fast pace.

But it's a recommendation to read if you don't mind the pace. Who knows maybe it gets better in vol 2 about these issues.
