There are some strong incest themes in this, a warning to those who may be turned off by it. The story revolves around 15 year-old Midori, who has been adopted into a family where she has served as a replacement for their deceased child, Reika. Her foster brother rapes her frequently, causing her to become nearly suicidal. Now Tokio comes in, a guy looking for his long lost sister, and he eventually finds Midori. He then dramatically whisks her away and the two start living together as brother and sister. A ton of other things happen afterwards, and they learn more about each other, read more

I feel that Eden no Hana is similar to The Name of the Flower in many ways. The most profound similarity in my eyes though, has to be the severe depth of emotion it shows. The complex backgrounds to feelings found in Eden no Hana always keeps you on the edge of your seat. Another similarity is the relationship between characters. In Eden no Hana, The two main characters (Midori and Tokio) are said to be brother and sister reunited by Tokio's desire to find his long lost sister. Even though they are said to be related, they can not help but feel their hearts' beating at the thought of one being with another person, or even smiling innocently at each other. The same goes for The Name of the Flower- although they are not brother and sister, they are said to be distant Uncle and Niece. Another, more faint resemblance between the two manga is the connection to flowers. Both stories make comparisons to how ones' feelings are like the beauty or nature of a certain flower or plant. Overall, I feel that if you enjoyed The Name of the Flower, you will very much enjoy Eden no Hana.
in both stories the girl protagonist has been sexually abused, and a guy comes along to protect her. they both fall in love along the way. the girlr is kind of a loner at the begining of each story, but while being with the guy they start to come out of their shells.

in eden no hana, the guy protagonist is a her brother
in mars they are different people but fall in love despite all that
