Synopsis

Ever since the day Ran Kurono's older brother was killed while protecting Sei Ohtori, she has dedicated her skills and life to one day becoming the First Knight of the next head of the Ohtori family, even concealing the fact that she's a woman forever. For generations the Kurono family has served the Ohtori family as their First Knight, but 11 other lower knights with ill intentions of using the Ohtori family's authority vie for that title. Not only that, but Sei is being tested for being suitable for the title of head of the family. Upon entering Saint Locks Academy, the days of both Ran and Sei's trials begin, all the while being helped by Sei's untidy and unrefined fiance, Ibara Tennou.

For some reason, no matter how long it has been, I still find myself thinking about this manga from time to time. I wasn't sure if I even liked it when I first began reading it, but, now, after ruminating on it a while, I'm tempted to add it to my favorites.

This wasn't the first manga that I read that portrayed a female character in a traditionally masculine light. It was, on the other hand, the first one that did so unapologetically. This manga pertains to the genres which I rejoice the most - gender bender + strong female lead who has to for some reason keep her identity hidden from all. The determination and the will to bear it all with a smile really exhilarates my dampen spirits. Recommended to those who cherish a female taking stand in action physically and trying to fight mentally with her hormones.
The story has an interesting plot but is predictable, and at a constant pace with not many surprises or shocks except one at the climax which can be hinted but the lead and characters keep you hooked to ...

Quite a dreadful attempt to imitate Kuroshitsuji art, theme and whole mood.
The story is 'sucked out of the finger'. The characters are quite 'one-sided' and lack any kind of logic in their actions and thoughts. If a person intends just to watch something amusing, why would he or she bother getting worked up over the worries of his amusement object?! That's the major irritating point, which completely turned me off. If one of the main characters is badass, let him be badass till the end.
Even if it's shoujo.
