Well basically, Nagasarete Airantou is a harem manga.
So a guy named Ikuto gets into a fight with his dad, then runs away from home to take a vacation. While on a boat, he gets washed off during a storm. (The people on the boat don't bother to save him, which is pretty cruel if you ask me.) He then washes up on an island, and due to certain circumstances (I wont say because its a spoiler...?) hes the only male on the island. Having never seen a male before, all the young women are eager to marry him. Expect one, named Suzu, who he moves in with.
Story: 7/10
The story is nice, but development is really slow. I personally like it slow for this manga, but its just too slow. (At around chapter 50, there's a bonus chapter acknowledging how little progress Ikuto has made.) It mainly just portrays living on an stranded island, and showing Ikuto's daily life living on the island, along with many many girls. It also explores the island in depth, and the mysteries of it. (You know when some stories are really vague about the fantasy world they its based in, and leave your imagination to come up with the rest? Well here, you can actually get a good look at what the island has, and whats in it.) Which is nice, I wanted to read a manga for a long time where its just about living, social life, or going to school, etc. So there's nothing dramatical in Nagasarete Airantou.
Art: 10/10
The style of art for Nagasarete Airantou, is one of those where, if the author were to draw a poster or ad in the same style, you could point it out. I other words, its unique. Most good manga series's artwork are usually unique. (Lets, take Detective Conan for an example. You probably wont find a manga with similar type of artwork, at all. Or the artwork of Bakuman, if you've read death note, one of the first things you'll notice is that the artwork resemble each other.) It doesn't necessarily mean the artwork has anything special or anything. To make a long story short, it means that the manga artist surpassed the typical amateur shoueun dawning sytle.
Character: 9/10
Each heroine of Nagasarete Airantou has her own personality. Some are typical everyday personality, some are mixed, some you've probably never thought of before. And each usually gets her own chapter to spend with Ikuto once in a while.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Like I said earlier, I wanted to read a manga or watch an anime, where it isn't just dramatically or battle-action filled once in a while. Nagasarete Airantou was perfect for that.
I've noticed that people either hate Nagasarete Airantou, or just find it plain boring. If your the type that wants to take a break from drama/battle mangas, or just dislike them, then you'll like Nagasarete Airantou. If your the type likes a fast paced story, then, you'll probably find it boring.

Alright basically the hero Ikuto gets into a fight with his dad and decides to run away the result of it is his ship sinks and he drifts to an island that is impossible to get off but at least he's surrounded by girls right? Well except for the fact that he sucks with them either way its a great manga so far the story line is there but you can still miss it

Both are Harems that take place on an island. Nagasarete Airantou is more of a comedy type where as Umi no Misaki is more of a romance.

Both are manga about a guy in a typical harem situation. Both Ikuto and Junpei are incredibly dense, and are often put in situations dealing with the supernatural that they don't really want to accept or deal with. Both manga are incredibly funny and have a kind of slice-of-life feel to them. It's also very obvious that the protagonist and the main girl like each other, but are too embarrassed/dense to confess to each other.
