| okay lol @the vid but really, it's all too much. my mum was the best - she saw some of the chaos that broke lose after he was brought into hospital or whatever on tv while falling asleep and the next day she was like "first I thought obama was shot but thank god, it was just michael jackson" o.O; but here you can see again how tasteless the media is... showing pics of his daughter sitting in a car crying etc. ... oh well, it's just another example I guess. |
| the media like anything else is a business, and it's in the business of selling drama. especially with these 24 hour news networks that you see today (more than a few of them), they have to sell advertising time, get viewership, and fill up hours of news blocks. suddenly, everything becomes breaking news, this just in, a special report, etc. and they milk it for all it's worth to the point where it just becomes silly. it's why you can't really watch those networks, too many ulterior motives at play. the media are supposed to be the whistle blowers, the impartial voice to the people, but you never see anything like that. |

| The sixth season ended, and the seventh is beginning in the Fall. Does it air or can you only get the DVDs? It looks like the MJ stuff is over, once those kids find somewhere to live, things should get a bit back to normal for all. |

| a german comedian has (or used to have) a show that is based on curb your enthusiasm. it's supposed to show him in his real life and he's acting pretty much like larry david does. there are also lots of german celebrities guest starring as themselves etc. it's funny but not as good as the original of course. the only time when I found a german rip-off to be better than the original is with a show that is based on "The Office". but they only admitted that it was based on the office (though it is bleedingly obvious) after the bbc threatened to take legal action lol |

| So much of Larry David in Curb reminds me of Seinfeld though, as in the humor of the show. And Seinfeld has such a unique humor to it. Does it remind you of that? The US version of The Office, although based off of the British The Office has really taken flight. I doubt many Americans even know that it's a knock-off. |

| well when it started airing here I was too young to watch AND get it but I watched 2 or 3 seasons a few years ago and I liked it. it's... different. I wouldn't say it's my favourite sitcom but I can see why it was a huge success. do you like it? |
| Funny thing is, I never really liked Seinfeld all that much. I can watch an episode, and go, ah, alright, but I won't actively seek it out, and if it's on television, I'll find something else to watch. However, I love Curb, and I always watch it, even though I can tell there are some similarities. |
