I feel that those who want romance over plot would like the movie more, whereas those who want plot over romance would like the series more.

After all, Air is only show I know of that actually has the main male lead practically disappear for the last 1/3. It's obvious that the TV show wanted to focus much more on the bond between Misuzu and Haruko, whereas the movie went for the more cliche Misuzu/Yukito pairing.

I favor the TV series personally, as I feel it has one of the most brilliantly executed plots, but I can see how the movie would be more appealing those thirsting for romance.

The animes ending was a lot sadder even though it was basically the same thing. It was rushed too, and Yukito barely payed attention to Misuzu at all. I mean seriously if my boyfriend died I would be pretty sad, but from what i remembered Haruko was the only one yelling in misery.
