I don't really understand what I just watched.

It wasn't bad, I'm just not sure what's going on. Haha

Interesting enough to watch a few more episodes, at least.

I watched this way back in Hight school more than 10 years ago and I decided to re-watch it as I remember really loving it but I pirated it all those years ago and never bought the DVDs, as such now there long out of stock and hard to come by. Then I stumbled across the full box set but I don't know how well it would hold up without the nostalgia goggles. So I'm looking it up for the first couple of episodes to see if it still has the entertainment as I found it back then before putting down close to £30 for an anime I saw as a dump kid.

And for the first episode, I liked. It keeps it hitting with one things after another. A kid with a gun killing scumbags, he works for shady group and just give him another assassination target. He has a silver haired stalker following him around everywhere and then a bounty hunter with fortune teller powers throwing himself into the mix.

Its constant none stop pacing works in its favour and makes me want to jump into the next episode. The thing I remember most about this show was the artist style they took for it fight scenes that I never seen in other anime till this day. The only thing I can compare it to are James Bound openings that make what would been bland animation and give it a bit of spice, a much need creative flare that I wish I saw more budget show try.

That kimono chick at the end dies in the opening scene it seems. Hmm...

That waitress chick is cute. Hopefully I'll see more of her throughout the season. hehe

Seasonal shows are over for now, back to working my way through the backlog! Black Cat is up first.

Out of the gate: I like the OP, and I legitimately am floored this dude's name is "Train Heartnet." But alright, let's go.

So Sven's eye can see the future, interesting.

I can appreciate how skilled Train appears to be. His scenes are rather impressive to watch. But man, what an edgy catchphrase they gave him.

Overall, it seems like this show has a good amount of potential. I like the mix of action and comedy. It sort of reminds me Trigun. I'm certainly looking forward to how this all plays out.

This was a solid first episode, although it was way different than how the manga started. I guess they are altering stuff here and there but it was still a fun introduction.
Let's see, Will I enjoy this as someone who has read the manga or not. The manga was amazing for sure.
