I believe it is because It would hurt The MC too much that she couldn't bring herself to do it. She also tried her hardest to refuse what was happening as some "curse" cause in her eyes it would mean her cousin died over something silly. So denial and fear of hurting someone she grew to cherish stopped her.

I know Myself and probably most would not be stopped for those reasons, but it's not the least logical thing done in this anime.

eeem she actually learned that the dead person has to die in the last episode...

before that she didnt have to tell him, besides she didnt want to hurt him and maybe sakakibara wouldnt even believed her then , so I think its ok...

its not a plot hole, it would be one if they new from the begging that the dead person should eeeeer die

Because she didn't want the class to go into a murderous rampage and kill her? Real people in real life don't constantly want to see people around them die in cruel bloody murder.

Plus, they were all ignoring her. Herp derp.

And it was MC's aunt. So.... that'd be awkward.

Suppose she told them: "I have a magic eye, and I know the dead person is our substitute teacher", do you honestly think they'd believe her? They could easily claim that she was just saying that to take suspicion off of herself and that she indeed was the Another.

And even if she told Kouichi, I'm not sure if he'd be willing to accept it and kill his aunt right away. Besides, was it ever stated that he believed her story right away?

It can't be helped, the characters had to be retarded for the anime sake.

She says in the last epsiode that she didn't tell anyone because she didn't want to see Koichi hurt by having to watch her get killed. But she DID try to tell him when they got to the mansion and got interrupted by Teshigawa when things went to hell.

^This, and also she could have resented people for treating her as if she didnt exist. The prequel ep 0 had shown that she was a different person completely when her sister was alive. Then when she died she was depressed and then shunned by her entire class and every teacher. Kouchi was the only one who ever really cared to befriend her other than her sister.

Oh no she didint want to see koichi hurt why dont you tell that to all the other students. Oh wait..... she didint want to open her mouth about the truth thus getting all those people killed. Teshigawa running in should not have her stopped her. she could have said who was the extra. Its just bad writing and makes mei look just as responsible.

With Mei's reputation, I seriously doubt her classmates would believe anything she says. An artificial eye being able to see dead people is hard to believe. Even some of Mei's classmates suspected her to be the extra. No matter how you put it, I don't believe there would be any happy outcomes from the scenario. I do agree that the last 2 episodes were too dramatic with all these deaths.
