The normal limit for image width is 690px across. But I've found a way to prevent wide images from being resized in your About Me! This is the wallpaper I want to use on my About me. Its 900px wide: http://i.imgur.com/X5DFCkL.png My 900px wallpaper gets resized down to 690px in my About Me when I put it in normally.  But with this trick, I can see the full 900px size on my About Me! Compare the size in both pics. The more Sena, the better!  This lets you put even wallpapers on your profile, as wide as want, and have a wider profile About Me graphic! The only drawback is this will stretch the information of your profile, and can look rather bad if overstretched. http://i.imgur.com/CfixA1c.png How to do it! To have images in your About Me stretch as much as you wish, copy and paste this tag: [/center] in your About Me edit box before the img tags for the images you want wide. Save, and thats it! You can put all the images you want wide below that [/center] tag. Anything above it will be resized to 690px like normal. You can put other Bbcode before it, but if you put other unclosed tags before this one it might interfere with this, so make sure you have been closing your BBcodes before this tag properly. If you're using this tutorial to customize your profile comments, the code from that tutorials still goes at the bottom of your About Me edit box. Also please don't overstretch the page to ridiculous amounts with this trick! Its not meant to be abused. If there's anything I missed let me know! This might be an oversight on the part of MAL's design and might be altered at some time in the future. |
