| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- It's nice to see characters do something atypical for them, so meat-headed Ota dealing with longing and rejection made for a decent episode. I like the amount of implied storytelling here. What's probably going on is that Ayano was in love with the construction worker (whom her parents probably wouldn't approve of due to his profession) from before she met Ota and pretended interest in him as a screen to keep her parents off her back (they obviously approved of Ota since they agreed to an omiai) only to regret doing so when it became clear how serious he was about their future together (when the poor guy was half a breath away from proposing). |
| Pretty obvious that relationship wasn't gonna last. Maybe a bit too obvious. At least we got to see a bit of a serious side to Ota. |

| Sucks to be Oota :/ But I really enjoyed this episode and the amusing interactions which were shown. Highlight was the silent farewell between Oota and Ayano accompanied by the falling snow and OST. Truly a beautiful scene. |

| Construction labors being unable to perform the job of moving rubble around to free the trapped labor was convenient for advancing the plot but didn't really make sense. Otherwise a lovely episode, it was nice to see this side of Ota. |
