I watched the 1 st movie, and found anime to be very confusing, and did not understand what is going on. ALso, anime has a lot of boring conservations between characters, and felt very slow and it has had little action. Because of that I was half sleep when I watched it.

I do like mystery and thriller genre. Another & Shiki are among the best amines I've watched. But I did not see anything amazing in the Kara no Kyoukai.

Does the 2nd or 3rd movie have something amazing that motivates me to watch ?

The whole idea of the first movie is to set up the characters and the story, don't worry I was more confused than you. The second movie is amazing because it's a direct contrast to the first in terms of tone and pacing. So to answer your question yes, it does get better, much much better.

Here's the thing: You don't need to get everything to enjoy the movies.
I was enlightened by a plottwist just yesterday and I watched it like a half year ago.
It's a psychological mindfuck (aka confusing) more than it is a thriller so you probably got in with the wrong mindset.
I do suggest you watch the 2nd movie because it does explain alot and starts back at the beggining.

It has a Pulp Fiction like way of telling the story. The first movie starts in the middle of the story, and kind of hops around from there in the different movies.

How dare you tarnish the name of Kara no Kyoukai by so much as thinking about Another.

Watch Chronigcall order. It does get exciting if you don't drop the franchise.

I doubt it is better like that. The movies are out of order chronologically, but they were written that way to provide a linear emotional arc. Watching them chronologically (although I haven't done it) would probably mess up the pacing.

How many movies did you watch in release order, because by the end of the third movie, nothing was confusing me.

And you can't assume that the OP and everyone else has the same mental capacity as you. :/

No, it's not at all. You are very first, and more than likely, the very last person I'll ever see say that.

I see that you haven't fully watched either the Fate series or Tsukihime. I started off the same as you. I dived into Kara no Kyoukai without knowing anything about the Nasuverse. So in the end I didn't understand anything about why certain events happened in KnK.

The only thing that motivated me to watch it was its character design, animation, and music(Yuki Kajiura is truly an amazing composer). I would recommend you watch the movies in release order because that was how the producer wanted us to see it. But make sure to read movie summaries for each movie after you finish them. It will be extremely boring if have to sit through 7 hours not knowing wtf is going on.

tl;dr, You should watch it. It's one of the best movie series to ever be produced.

I knew a little bit about it since I played through a little of Tsukihime, so I knew about the Death Eyes, but yeah I was confused about everything as well, even looked up on Wiki to see if there were details that I missed, but nothing. Fortunately, the summary on the MAL page sums it up decently, and if you watch the later movies, the whole story starts to come together.

Not really. It barely explains Akasha and everything else is about the Holy Grail War that has nothing to do with KnK.

Just watch it as it is. Everything is gonna be much clearer after the next films. Yea it's a bit confusing but I don't know what is the problem. This is not uncommon in anime. Just be patient.
