That part was pretty confusing. They rushed that drama and it felt pretty weird. I had to rewind a couple of times to get it. I guess Coud was upset that she left him, but they tried to get him to understand she was trying to put a stop to the fighting and that he should have understood that. But, Ren is pretty stupid herself for believing them. |

| This anime is crap. Reverie left for what I think is the third fucking time now for the exact same reason she left or shunned Coud every other time, which was that she was worried about her allies and gullible enough to believe a word the Chaos Choir said. All those reaffirmations, declarations of mutual trust and romantic moments were for absolutely nothing, because Reverie clearly doesn't have any legitimate faith in her allies. I don't mind an absence of character development, because not every person is going to have their character or mentality altered over a select period of time, let alone to the extent where it's outwardly visible. What I do mind is when a series feigns character or relationship development multiple times, only to have it rendered obsolete with little fanfare or justification. The fact these idiots decided to blame Coud's mentality on Reverie leaving is laughable, as it had nothing to do with it. The actual reason she was captured here was because Coud is utterly useless in combat, and loses every single fight he's in that isn't against an inconsequential random monster. His mindset, in contrast, is actually highly protective of Reverie. |
