And people complain about Berserk... Miura is in contol of Berserk(just the pace who is really bad) Hagi does'nt control his manga and don't k know where his manga going. Especially when you re-draw the first volumes for a new re-edition |
| Hagiwara needs to get off his ass and finish this manga already. He can't expect readers to just be ok with him abandoning a series with all its rich history/worldbuilding, fantastic artwork, badass characters, and awesome fights. |

| Just read up to volume 20, I knew this manga would never be finished so I didn't invest in it too much. It was fun though, especially when Hagiwara focuses on what he's actually good at like the humor and sexual antics (comes across way better in the VIZ media publications). The manga suffers quite a bit though when he tries to actually take it seriously and elevate it way beyond his skillset. Not everyone can be a Miura-level mangaka and even trying can totally ruin a perfectly decent manga. I liked the jump up to seinen-level sexual antics but what I don't like is this whole enormous time-skip thing in the middle of a story line that I was actually enjoying, and the tone of the story changed so much so fast. I skipped ahead to look around and I think I'm just gonna read the Vol 27 material and drop it. The art looks even better but 21-26 seem way too serious for its own good and besides that the mediocre scanlations kind of butcher the art anyway. |
