| hmmm, not really what I'm looking for... What I mean by split personality. Is a person with 2 personalities (or even more) that switch at times. Maybe its just that theres never really been any anime with a story based really on a main character with a split personality... |
| Air Gear - Agito/Akito. Though he isn't listed as a "main character" he is indeed a main character. He has multiple personalities but it's/he states that he has mutliple minds in one body. Black Rock Shooter - Might work or might not. Every main character. D.Gray Man - Allen does a lot later on. You won't see much of it at all in the Anime. The Manga starts showing it a lot more around Vol 19. Lenalee, another main character, tends to have a "dark unconscious" second personality as well, in the beginning but doesn't happen anymore later on. Guilty Crown - Inori & Mana Katekyo Hitman Reborn!- Tsuna's personality changes when shot with a "special bullet" from pussy to bad ass. It's kinda annoying in the beginning til he gets his "better form". Tsubasa Chronicles - Might not fit but Syaoran's 'personality' permanently changes at a certain point, and from what I can remember, in a negative way, though it doesn't happen for a while. Recommend the Manga over the Anime. The Anime is incredibly tedious. Hope those work... they're kinda like... mostly shounens... Lol. edit: My bad, forgot the you asked for "Male". Well, only two of them are female mains. |

| Ouroboros the main character Ryuzaki Ikuo has a... character fault. I wouldnt say its as complete as a split personality but its pretty close. He goes all brutal and shit. MPD Psycho (AKA Tajuu Jinkaku Tantei Psycho) - all about split personalities and personality transference. Main character Kazuhiko Amamiya is a male with multple split personalities too. Dorohedoro - I second this cause fuck man so many personalities the main character has. Mob Psycho 100 - main character Mob changes when his emotions get too intense (when he gets to 100) |
