| Chihaya....she is easily the most beautiful anime character I've ever seen. When I first started grabbing episodes of this, I took only the first 3....A Card Game Anime?????? I had my doubts. So, I watched those 3 episodes and liked them enough to get the whole series. Then, I watched it all....Well, it moved into my all-time Top 10 series immediately. What a marvelous story. Easily the best of 2012 and one of the best ever, IMHO. I surely hope there will be a season 2. |

| Top is probably Taichi for me. Although depending on the episode my feelings for Arata place him as top instead at times. :P Aside from them, I also like Yusei (or should I still call him Nikuman-kun). :) |

| There are way too many outstanding characters in Chihayafuru, I think this is one part which makes this story so amazing! I love most of the characters. The Mizusawa club, side characters, but also the enemies are pictured very well. I like Chihaya for being such a pure-hearted person and also for being such a Karuta baka, for the silly moments, but also for the moments when her beauty shines through. I really love Kana-chan for her interest in all the traditional Japanese things, the history, poems, and clothing. she's just a sweetheart, whatever you say. :3 I also love Shinobu-chan and truly hope she and Chihaya will become close friends in the near future. I could go on with this forever, but let's stop now. xD |

| Taichi and Chihaya first place And then things get pretty hard. I love the original Misuzawa team, Kana, Komano and Nishida And Suou is high up in my ranks with Shinobu. That image that Suetsugu san made when Taichi thought about the people he loved, i guess i would see something like that too when thinking about all the great characters in Chihayafuru. |
