I tried to like Bakemonogatari - I did. But I just didn't really like it. I might have just been a bad mood? Who knows. Regardless, what I did like in Bakemono was Senjougahara but she didn't even get that much screen time. I kinda felt like she deserved more. I know Nisemono doesn't have her as a main, but I want to know how you all feel about my situation. Should I watch Nisemonogatari? :P |

So far the plot isn't really as serious, and there's a lot more moe and comedy moments. But it generally is still very dialogue driven like Bakemonogatari. It depends on what you actually didn't like about Bakemonogatari. |

If you didn't like Bakemonogatari, I'm unsure whether or not you can like Nisemonogatari. :/ ![]() ![]() |

What I didn't like: - I guess I expected it to be a full-out romance anime and was just severely disappointed. - I sort of disliked how the series progressed in 2-3 episode arcs only because it seemed to make the series overall just not very coherent. In the end, I didn't even know what the plot actually was and I still don't haha. I suppose I'd better appreciate the anime if I actually understood what the plot was... It just felt, to me: "OH hey, there is this girl with a problem, let's solve it and move onto the next with no goal really in mind." I didn't mind the heavy dialogue, but it could have been better I think. The mystery aspect was sort of just lacking in Bakemono for me. I feel like focusing on a couple mysteries that had an overall climax would have been better? Maybe I just went into this anime with the completely wrong frame of mind lmao. |

Seeing as Nisemonogatari is pretty much a continuation and more of the same of Bakemonogatari, I don't see why you'd want to watch the sequel if you don't even like the first series. <!--link--><a href="http://myanimelist.net/animelist/Misdreavius&sclick=1"> ![]() Tonight... we are young... so let's set the world on fire, we can burn brighter, than the sun... |

Simply if you didn't like Bakemonogatri I don't think you will like Nisemonogatari, especially seeing as Senjougahara appears even less in Nise and the romance is near non-existent most of the time really. It doesn't let up on the heavy dialogue either. |

Dialogue drove both, if you're looking for romance and action then probably not. If you're looking for intelligent dialogue. and a "meaningful" subtle romance, go for it. |

This, the dialogue of Bake and Nise make them what they are. You'll rarely find discussion between characters like you would in these two series than you would in any other show, assuming the other shows aren't Shaft. If you can't handle it or don't like it, you should probably not bother with Nise. Also to add, even though it isn't tagged, Nisemonogatari is clearly a ecchi Anime and a fairly high level'd one at it. Ep 8 has toothbrush porn. So if ecchi isn't your thing, it's another minus. This is coming from someone who watched Bakemonogatari (and mildly enjoyed it) and is currently struggling to get through Nisemonogatari. Take my word on this, there are plenty of other shows which would offer far better satisfaction source for your time. |

Give a try first.. watch all those episode first before judging this series..That's must be reason why there are a lot of MAL user like this series and it's rating over 8.. But if u don't like heavy and intelligent dialogue between the characters.. You wouldn't enjoy this series as well.. ![]() |

Nisemonogatari is just fanservice for Bakemonogatari fans. It doesn't have a story and it's just fanservice (both ecchi and each character's 10min of fame). |

Ecchi, Harem, Romance, Fantasy, Mystery, and other stuff in it were just spices. |

Like everyone else said there is a lot of dialogue here similar to Bake, but there's also a lot of ecchi fanservice. So, if you enjoy those types of fanservice you might enjoy this show. |
