Kinda ridiculous how that guy didn't believe in ghosts or whatever after all the stuff that has happened. I mean there was photographic evidence and everything.

This wasn't one of the better works from Junji Itou but I'd say it's still pretty solid, I liked the whole unsolved mysteries theme it had going.

How can her friend don't believe in spirits after all that happened?

I see the trope too often of "I don't believe in this" despite you literally going through traumatic events. You thought you imagined those? The fuck.

Also damn how fucking pityable. Her whole family goes missing and she's like "I can use this mystery hole to rid my competition for this half baked guy." I knew she was gonna shove Mimi into there too, thought it would be more of a test but nah!

Anyways kinda lack luster all around. Mimi really needs to leave Japan.

Mimi just can't take a break but at least her boyfriend got her out of her closest call yet.

Naoto was probably in denial so he wouldn't freak out but it was kind of a dick move to dismiss her concerns like that despite having seen a lot of evidence that proved her claims.

This was pretty enjoyable~

Regardless of the story, Junji Itou can always at the very least in a decent manner portray a good representation of the character's journey,
but so far out of the few adaptions he's created from mediocre stories from other creators that I've read... even if his compisition remains solid and he presents his unique style to these stories, I prefer his own original stories over the seemingly mediocre in comparison horror stories he decides to adapt. 3/10.

This story didn't feel like it had a clear sense to its reason without a theme.
Instead, it felt random with widely different plots of horror to the female protagonist's experience of being surrounded by spirits and weird creatures- overall the supernatural... to then an abrupt plot of a jealous friend who tries to make her vanish to steal her boyfriend... 'stupid ending.
