| One of the best episodea of Ouran, so original! I love Alice in wonderland and I love Haruhi in Ouranland ;P Part when Haruhi had a vase on her ass she looked like slug lol |
| Very cute. I think they're doing a great job with showing more of Haruhi's more feminine side. She's a complete and utter tomboy, but when it comes down to it, she really is a girl at heart that's surrounded by some very good looking boys (daaaaamn yooooou!! *shakes fist angrily* |

| Awww. I think this actually might have been one of my favorite episodes so far. :D That end scene with her mom was so sweet. Plus, I lovelovelove Alice in Wonderland themed stuff. ^^ And damn the twins were hot this episode. :O |

| Interesting episode, I wasn't quite sure what was happening at the beginning, but then we don't often see Haruhi in girls clothes and her dad in mens clothing. (Now that I typed that out and look at it, maybe this episode had more depth than I expect from a light comedy) I'm not crazy about Alice in Wonderland clones because they rarely work, and this wasn't any exception, especially with all the banana references (What was that all about?) but the hints about it being a dream were funny and her mom being the queen was a delight. After watching it again it was truly a well done episode and possibly the best of a series that's done well in delivering laughs. |
| Cute ending - fun little episode. Haruhi's personality isn't like Alice's at all though, which makes it kind of hard to pull off this sort of episode. |

| LOL. I watched Alice in Wonderland (the movie in 3D) yesterday, and today I randomly decided to watch Ouran ep 13, and it was Alice-themed. LOOOOOL. |

| No one has mentioned the brilliant writing. Haruhi's mom was a lawyer and died early, "abandoning" Haruhi. Haruhi then, as a lawyer, says how children forgive their parents, and how the mom didn't abandon her child. I haven't seen Alice in Wonderland since I was very small, so I don't remember if the writers of Host Club wrote that part or it was in the original story, nonetheless it fit this show perfectly. |

| really enjoyed the episode :D i actually thought this was canon and how Haruhi had unconsciously met them somewhere. every really fit their roles XD anyone notice in the first scene with the painting of Haruhi and the rabbit? and her mother was under the tree watching her play :) i actually thought Haruhi would cut her hair or at least be forced to cut her hair when Tamaki asks why her hair is long XD glad we get to see a long hair Haruhi!! it started to get weird when the rabbit got small and the same thing happened to Haruhi! i think we learned that Haruhi wanted to become a Lawyer, though i don't know how her mother died, but she feels sorry that she left this world too early. the baby represented Haruhi and when the mother questioned the dutchess(Renge) for leaving the baby and the baby and sentencing her, Haruhi defended her it saying that the baby would be even more sad if the baby is left all alone. still it does shows us a little glimpse of Haruhi's past ^^ next episode!! |
| I loved this episode. I agree, it wasn't very funny, but I don't think it was meant to be. It was nice to know more about Haruhi's past. It showed us Haruhi as a serious child and how her mother's death influenced her character... and how the Host Club allowed Haruhi to live a fun and fulfilled student life. All while giving us a run-through of what happened in the series so far. Very nice, and very clever. (And nice twist on the Alice theme too!) |
| I think that it was a really interresting and emotive episode. What I got from this episode : Haruhi is missing her deceases mother and want to be seen as a girl. First, there was a lot of motherly thematic in that episode. When Haruihi said to Renge that ''there is nothing better than being with our mother'', you could see that it was bittersweet for her. I think that the highlight of that episode was when there was the trial and the ''Queen'' said that Renge commited the crime of leaving her child alone. Then Haruhi said that children could see when parent were busy and that they could forgive them. That was obviously adressed to her father, but also to her mom since she was an advocate. It is also ironic that the trial was unjust since Haruhi mom was working for the law. The second theme that I came up a few time and during the whole episode was Haruhi as a girl. In her dream, she didn't imagined herself as a tomboy, but as her old-self. Though, normally people tend to imagine themself in their dream the way they are in the present. There was also that moment when she was walking in that corridor and the word girl appeared, like if her own mind was trying to remind her that she's a girl. I wonder if that mean that unless what let us believe, she would be complexed by her boyish apparence. Maybe I'm overlooking in it :P There was also that undertone of growing out of her world. She started being serious and stuck up, but she ended up entering the game of the Ouran Club fantasy. They probably symbolize her life ideal. BANANAS EVERYWHERE! xD |

| Unusual episode. I feel stupid for not realizing it was a dream until Haruhi woke up. Totally forgot that Haruhi lost her mom so when she started tearing up, I was a little confused. 3.5/5 |
