Anyone know when this is supposed to be released? I see it says 2010, but the year is going to be coming to a close in a month and a few days, so I am curious. Did it get pushed back maybe?

Yeah, it was supposed to be released in the Spring of 2010. They've been having constant delays since then.

Ai no Kusabi Remake

"A second, thirteen episode anime OVA adaptation, also from AIC, was scheduled to begin releasing in Japan Fall 2010. Akiyama was supposed to direct again and Onda would have provided the character designs. The screenplay would have been written by Yoshihara herself.[11] Unfortunately, due to financial issues, the production has been cancelled for now. They managed however to release an 8 minute preview of the first OVA."

I just finished watching the 2 OVAs AGAIN! And i was like: "GODDD, this had to be a longer anime!!" Knowing it's not coming out anytime soon depressed me...

And from what i gather, unless some rly generous sponsor shows up, we're toast, cause projects cancelled due to financial issues don't get a retry that often Y____Y

It's true the project has been resurrected! The first OVA is set to release January 18, 2012. I only hope they plan on releasing 13 OVAs and not just 4 like usual but I'm grateful they are releasing any. This is the best news ever! I'm so happy.

Info from an http://aarinfantasy.com/ forum. Got a good thread going about the resurrection of the remake. This was too good of an idea to just let it die like it nearly did. Let's hope they follow through with it this time.

Everyone it has been confirmed on the official ANK website that there will be indeed 4 volumes TOTAL released for the remake. So we won't be getting the originally planned 13. :(

Heartbreaking I know but they length of the volumes hasn't been released yet so they may be as long as the original releases. Let's all hope.

Just because they only show the first four realise dates doesn't mean there is only going to be 4 OVA's,there realising an OVA a month so if they release 13 ovas then it will be just over a year to see all of them, why would they put a year worth of realise dates up,I think by the time the 2nd or 3rd OVA is realised and it sells well then they will confirme a few more realise dates for more OVA's.

@ DEAR MODS:
I came back to MyAnimeList just now and found to my surprise and disappointment that my post has been deleted.
Could someone please tell me why that was the case? Because I cannot think of a single reason why you would do so:
Ever since it was announced that the Ai no Kusabi remake would finally see the light of day in 2012 I have gathered whatever information was available and posted it in the Aarinfantasy thread that has been mentioned in missmotoko's post on September, 23. You can go there and will find that this is so.
12 days ago I decided to set up a blog to keep all that information in one place so it would be easier for fans to keep up-to-date with what is going on. On that site I blog about the latest information regarding the release of the Ai no Kusabi remake and also translate the available JAPANESE information from the offiicial ANK website and Twitter handle into ENGLISH.
To my knowledge this is the only site in English at the moment which provides this kind of information in this frequency.
My blog is NOT spam and I am NOT making a single cent out of it. I love Ai no Kusabi dearly and have made many friends because of it. These friends and fans of ANK are the reason why I started the blog in the first place.
All I want to do is provide information for the English speaking Ai no Kusabi community that does not speak or read Japanese and to provide a place were fans of ANK can find all the latest information in one place.
And that... is ALL.
So coulld you please be so kind as to tell me what was wrong with my post? What was wrong with letting ANK fans here know about the blog?
ANK fans keep asking for a site where this information is provided. Yet when someone does, why would you want to shoot them down?
I find that rather strange and would be thankful for a reply (I couldn't find a direct mail contact on your site).

Thank you, Shadow-Chan!

I am glad they are no longer deleting my posts here, lol! I think they thought I was spaming or something so deleted the first one where I introduced the Ai no Kusabi blog. But fortunately the other two seem to have been OK or they finally had the time to actually LOOK at the blog. ;)

So, what do you guys think of the trailer? I have to say I am in awe with the art design. And Iason's hair flowing in the wind... *sigh* That is one hot SOB Blondie right there!

Is it January yet? :D
