Does anyone know why this anime has this hate and low ratings

I watched this anime randomly and got surprised tht how it was and intense and ultimate fights in the end.and hated tht usa chants in the end.despite how well it was animated so much hate for this,its been 3yrs since i wached this yet i don't know .does anybody know...?

i have no idea. I gave it 9/10.
MAL ratings are kinda misleading sometimes (most of the time). I know many great anime with low ratings.

maybe read the reviews people wrote (I won't read them cuz it's usually dumb stuff and nitpicking)

Anime is actually good.
Mal does have weird scoring.
But There is no season 2 as manga is popular from what i heard.

I rated this anime a (6) Fine.

As memory serves, I actually really liked the beginning episodes of this anime and thought it would be good, but the later episodes changed the anime’s direction completely and ruined it for me.

With you asking this question, it might be good to re-watch this anime to see if I feel different now.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series and judge each based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

It has an adjusted rating of 2.32/10 on AniDB, so... I'm guessing there's a valid reason, but I won't be watching to confirm.

I actually liked the first half of the anime, might have given it 8/10. But the second half was beyond my understanding, killing of the childhood friend, then suddenly started training, then I think the enemy was still alive at the end of the episode, and some side character started explaining and giving a recep or something. It's been years since I watched it. I rated it low because I enjoyed the anime, but then all went to downslide. Maybe I will try reading the manga if there is any
