DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Mirabelle's parents trying to marry her off to some perverted old vampire in exchange for cash. Not the best way to treat your daughter, is it? Ironically, this eventually led to Mirabelle just marrying Cheyenne instead, lol. She must like him more than I thought. |

| Weird how this show keeps doing romance comedy episodes, but this one was actually pretty fun. There was some fun lore about the Noble Reds/Crimson Nobles being hypocrites, and there were even some direct tie-ins to the games like healberries (wrong color and design unfortunately) and Marivel Armitage mentioned as the creator of the group. Is the name Dr. Ampire a reference to Ed Wood's Dr. Acula? Perhaps it's relying on a bait an switch in that way. The rogue trickery of the heroes worked here because the other side was manipulative and cruel, relying on societal riches to push people around. Really classic Lupin III style! |
