Have you ever dreamt about one of your stories being adapted into manga?
Thought of the perfect plot, but weren't sure how to get published?

For its second year, MyAnimeList once again collaborated with Honeyfeed to help aspiring overseas novelists realize their dream of being published—and debut with their very own manga in Japan! Our judges narrowed down all eligible novels into the best 4 for each prompt and the community voted for their favorites.

Here are the three winners:
Congratulations!

For aspiring writers: While we announce the prompts/themes of each contest roughly 3-4 months before the deadline, web novels written before the next contest is announced are still eligible! So if you're hoping to submit to a future edition of this contest, head over to Honeyfeed and start writing~

Details about the 2022 edition of this contest can be found here.

We hope to see you again next time :)

It's amazing that some people will get a manga published. Even if it was one chapter, I'd be awed! Grats to the people who won!

Huh, COF. I had them down as alright.

At least the Rom-Com category didn't have that one win, bullet dodged.

"Will." The prize is to have your work shown to Kodansha, but they're not actually required to do anything with it.
Well I for one already loved Lain.

Yeah ok, that would make much more sense than automatically getting a manga, haha. But still, pretty cool!

As someone who participated in this contest, I can only congratulate the winners.
Writing such solid novels in that short of a time is certainly no easy task, so congratulations!

They're alright, yeah. Your efforts deserve a 10 out of 10.
-> purely 'my' opinion. ->-> Weeb readers like me, however, aren't likely to find them enticing.
These seem more westernized, afar from Japanese style.
But anyway, congratulations to all the winners!
