| I was hoping for a conclusive ending with answers to the Intersection's Pretty Boy series, but unfortunately, even though it continued to evolve, it was left completely unsolved and mysterious like most if not all of Junji Itou's ending. 7/10. Interesting how Ryuusuke became an oddity himself like Midori's aunt's boyfriend's son, the Intersection's Black-Dressed Pretty Boy. I think it's clear that they're both living humans since we've now seen Ryuusuke turn into a similar oddity, but I wonder how they gain this mystical power to completely influence people with their instruction. Black, negatively, and White (Ryuusuke) positively. There's also now a clear sense that the Cheater's son is doing this willingly out of hate, I guess since he knew of his father's adultery, but I can't imagine exactly why... I wish I knew. Seeing Ryuusuke advising people to help (100) others with their fortune telling was sweet. Followed by telling the corpses dead by the Intersection's Pretty Boy to go to him and that he'll return their love to them- but he vanishes with them. I guess we'll never know those answers... |
