Cuts out a lot without having them make too much sense, changes the tone of scenes unnecessarily, incredibly slow release schedule that makes the ongoing arc kind of insufferable for some people, etc. The anime should be able to overtake the manga when season 2 airs next year or be really close with where the manga is in the future, so there is a general preference for either reading the novels or just sticking with the anime. |

The official light novel version of the main series is ending in a few months, with the illustrations, refined and better structured writing, and extra chapters throughout the series too. It's the main version that the anime is adapting. |
