Well No, Not worth watching.
Reason : The Mc (Little girl) Had only One motive "to die" and the story is somewhat milking and streching about something she did (Not mentioning due to spoilers)

My rating = 6/10 (Maybe 5 but the art style and horror theme is somewhat ok ok so "6")

Well at one point this show was massively talked about, and gained the attention of people with a certain taste. But imo I gave the show a 5/10, it’s one of my lowest rated anime, had to force myself to finish it. It has a certain trope that it sticks with the whole way through. I would say give it a try, but personally for me I didn’t like it after a few episodes.

it's absolute ass, unless you are the target audience. it was made for fujos who are into bad guys out to do punishable things. this is a harem experience for women.

It's worth watching in my opinion. I liked it and of all anime which were adapted from game is the best. And I normally don't watch anime adapted from games.

I watched it when i was at my edgy phase and i really liked it back then, it was ok as i remember. but i want rewatch it to see if i was just an edgy teenager or it’s actually good.

It was decently big few years ago, I like it a lot but I guess it didn't withstand the test of time and fell off

I love this show, one of the best series out there. Probably in my top 20, it's just a fun series with interesting twists and turns. People hate on it, but in all fairness a lot of people hate on anything that's not "mainstream" I think you should at least give it a shot. Give it 3 or 4 episodes and if you don't like it, drop it. No big deal

also, it was a game that was kind of popular back then, and became especially popular with teens going through their edgelord phases. don't get me wrong, to each their own taste, and while I didn't encounter this anime until not too long ago and was curious enough to look up the game and play it, I have to say that it was pretty decent.
it's nothing mind-blowing, but it is still effective in what it wants to convey.
but I think it got its popularity because of the game and the audience that was already attached to it. plus we have crazy-edgelord-psycho-massmurderer-but-still-hot-in-a-trashy-way Zack which a lot of people simped for. again, nothing wrong with that, we respect all weebs and their taste here. I would count those fangirls also in to explain this shows popularity, regardless of whether it was good or not.

tldr: decently popular game equals similarly popular show, plus edgelord fangirls.

I watched aod when it first came out and I personally really enjoyed it and I usually recommend it to my friends as well :,) its my first and favorite anime :D

It was super difficult to get through And the main character is like a broken record with her wish. It had potential but I feel it was squandered however some people really do like it so it’s hard to say.

It's not really a "random anime". It's an adaptation of a popular and well received game. And it had a manga that was published for 2 years before the anime came out. So there was definitely a lot of people who knew about this before the anime was released.

As for whether or not it's worth watching though. Then no, it's not. At least in my opinion. I honestly don't know if it's a medium thing. But when I played the game, I found it quite enjoyable. But the anime just comes off as being pretentious and dragged out. It's very boring. I guess the game overall was just paced better to keep your interest, and since you played it you were actually more engaged with what was happening.

well, it was good till 12th episode but after that i had to force myself to finish it because how boring it was. This show was different from what i had expected ,lol i guess i shouldve read the reviews. And the reason i give it 6/10 is only because i liked the storyline and the horror in it.

some times these things confuse me as well,
just some random anime or manga with a name i've never heard of suddenly I spot with huge amounts of members etc.

I love playing detective on these parts. really, because as a historian I love unraveling the history of certain things.

it turns out that this anime is actually based on a game, same with the manga,
it used to be quite popular, cult hit actually, similar to yume nikki or OFF. not as popular as undertail though.

even videos playing this has hundreds of thousands of views.
