Just wanted to tell that name of antagonist "Charlatan" is very similar to Russian word "Шарлатан" and can be translated as "con artist". Though dunno if author knew about this and made such name for this antagonist on purpose.

it has its own meaning in English, that means trickster/fraudster/con man

Russian and English languages both borrowed this word from French.

As said - Charlatan means trickster/liar! It's originally from Hebrew :)
