The anime is really good, but it rushed and cut off so many arcs really importants to the characters development and relationships as well. I recommend reading from beginning, because some characters like Louis and Albert looked like extras in the anime, they were so shallow, and others like Moran seemed to be there just to filling up space in the gang. The relationship between Sherlock and John is way more natural and so important for Sherlock's maturation, and the connection between Sherlock and William is way more deep, they meet one more time... Besides that, the anime even cut a character from the manga. So, yes, it worth reading the manga, is even better than the anime. (If you wanna know, the anime covered untill chapter 52, and the manga is around chapter 59) |
