You will forever live on in our hearts. Thank you for being the inspiration for me to play guitar. You will be missed.

You must've literally been born yesterday if you don't know who Eddie Van Halen is, lol.

never heard a soul talk about him. musn't have been very known ig.

He's considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time.

You're honestly telling me that you've never heard of the band "Van Halen" before?

No. I don't listen to that boomer shit, and never heard anyone speak that name.

Lol, you were born in 2001.

80s music isn't even "old." Most of the music I listen to is from the 50s and 60s. All music from 1990 to the present sounds horrible. It sounds like you had a bad upbringing.

Not trying to be disrespectful, but I can hardly care about someone I never heard of and did nothing particularly interesting.

So, you're telling me that you've never listened to any 80s music before?

I didn't say that. I grew up in the 90's. Of course I mainly listened to music from 90's and before.

Being only 4 years older than you, I also grew up in the 90s, but I didn't listen to any 90s music, because I played my parent's and grandparent's old records, and because of that, all music from 1990 to present sounds horrible to me.

LMAO that sounds like a curse.

To be honest, mainstream music were much better in the 80's. I'll give you that. Mainstream music from 90's and so on sound horrible. But you don't have to be into mainstream music in order to appreciate recent music. There is more...

I tried seeking out modern music that I'd like, but I can't find any. I just don't like the way people sing these days.

You seem doomed to enjoy only old music for the rest of your life. You may possibly like some recent music if you explore enough, but I don't think you'll like it as much as the music you currently love.

Boomers are born in the 40's and 50's, but I get what you mean. I think it's alright to be into old music, old video games, old movies etc. I respect their opinions as long as they respect our interests.

That’s awesome man, Alex is a great drummer and Eddie was a great guitarist. I actually performed Jump along with a few other kids when I did a metal show for School of Rock in a roadside bar. It was before Eddie’s passing. Now I feel lucky that was one of the songs I played that show.
