Should I watch the movies?

I am near completion of the TV series and wonder if I should watch the two movies. Is the TV series extended version of movies or the movies have separate plot?

Looks like you found out, but for anyone else wondering; the movies are completely separate from the TV series, so you can watch them whenever.
