| What's a pyromaniac? o.o Anyways, I'm new! ^_^ My most embarrassing mistake was when I was making pancakes (I'm HORRIBLE at that). I was trying to flip it, but the uncooked batter splattered everywhere and the cooked part burst into flames and became ashes like in the movies. ._. |

| Er one time I was making cookies from scratch, and uhm, we had to put flour in. And then I accidently poured the whole bag of flour in. XDDD It was a total mess, and my hair was all white after. Ahh. Kitchen diaster. |
| I took a bag of ramen...placed it in the glass bowl...then shoved it into the microwave. I didn't notice I forgot to water in and that it was a glass bowl, so next thing I knew, I see these sparks and black clouds of smoke filling the microwave. |

| Hey^^ I know it's been a couple of years since this post was made... but I've read through them and they are all funny... some hurt but overall thanks for sharing the experience... I have one... it was in 2008 this happened... My friends and I tried to make Dangos, and we needed rice flour. So we try to go to the Asian shop but they were closed, so we go to Publix and we find Rice Flour, so we buy one and go home and try making them. It didn't work out, every time we tried to boil them they would disappear into the water. They wouldn't turn into dough. So we went through the whole bag, and had to go back and buy more. So we decided to bake them, but that didn't work out. Then I started reading the directions on the bag and it said it was a "Rice Flour Flavor Drink Mix" lol So we have been trying to make dough with a drink mx... it didn't work and we tried for hours trying to make dangos... goes to show that drink mix can not be dough lol |

| I was making cake for a bake sale and had to boil milk for one of the steps. I accidentally turned on the wrong burner and set the cookbook on fire. We had to evacuate for like an hour so the smoke would die down ><". |
| First time attempting fried chicken nuggets in a frying pan ... blackened the oil and nearly burnt a whole in the middle of the pan 0.0 ... needless to say I haven't attempted since, McDonald's all the way :p |

| I can't bake to save my life. I'm fine with cooking, but somehow, baking always goes wrong. 1) My older sister and I wanted to make some cookie dough. We used a recipe and just left out the eggs. We were low on butter so my sister decided to use crisco instead--BAD IDEA. Tried to fix it, but it didn't work. We ended up with something that tasted like sugar, crisco, and chocolate chips. 2) Wanted to make St Lucia buns for St Lucia day my first year of college. Didn't know that there is a difference between regular flour and biscuit flour. I learned my lesson, so... 3) Tried again last year. However, by this point I had acquired two gluten-intolerant friends, so my other friend, being the kind, thoughtful person she is, decided we should use gluten-free flour. Bought the cheapest mix at the store--it was DISGUSTING. Turns out it had garbanzo bean flour, which makes everything gross. |
