Cross Ange Second Season?

Original anime rarely get second seasons, but Cross Ange was a huge success, so I'm wondering if there are any plans for a second season? Sunrise has been beefing up Code Geass as of late so I don't expect one this year, but I'd really like to see one.

What do you all think?

An OVA on Zola's backstory would be nice. I don't expect we'll be seeing any more from this franchise, though.

I would have liked a second season, so I just did the next best thing and started a tabletop game that picks up right where the series left off. I have new adversaries on both worlds, and the two groups will eventually meet up.

I doubt that it would get another season but there's always fanfictions, both sequels and rewrites. I actually found one that was pretty good.

Since it's anime original, I doubt there will be a second season. We can hope.

I agree though that a romcom at Cafe Ange would be hilarious. I'd like an OVA though. I want to know what happened to Misty Rosenblum since she didn't discriminate against the Norma. I'd like to think she escaped during the finale and got picked up by decent people.

Hey as long as we get more Ange x Hilda scenes and Hilda being jealous at Tusk I'm all for it.

Also I want to see how Sylvia is doing in their world now since mana is gone. If we are getting a sequel its probably going to focus on her since Ange's story is pretty much wrapped up and its a happy ending.

I would like a second season. Season 1 is rewarding, but there are many unknowns. What happened to Sylwia, did the country really get up, did Embryo really die, did Hilda hit Tusk, etc.
Season 2 can explain and create a different story, another fight against Embryo or some lords.

But now im just confused cos thats literally the only place I can find mentioning this "controversy"?

1. Seriously, they went to live on the dragon world with 1 man and like 20-30 girls ?? thats some lucky dude
2. I would like to see ange go back and forgive her sister and vice versa, become family again
3. The story can be they cant live/repopulate (1.) so they go back and try to rebuild the old world (2.)

Those first two episodes are rough to watch. However, I found the series to be much more positive than at first blush. And maybe I'm wrong, but most of the female characters had to save themselves with their own strengths.

It is a case where the series came to the conclusion it aimed for. They told everything they wanted to tell. Making a sequel would mean overstaying its welcome. If they make it happen, it will be a completely different beast devoted to stretching way too far bits and crumbs that may remain from S1. And i can already see all those who clamor for a season 2 trash a sequel that definitely won't live up to the quality of the first season. Or... they will be hypnotized by a brand name and celebrate yet another abomination on MAL. You just can't create something like 'Cross Ange' without a strong idea, a deep reason behind. That is why a season 2 can never happen, because it was never planned. And if it happens 100% chance i won't watch it. Fortunately, Japan is not the USA just yet, and they still have limits when it comes to milking people with extremely low quality insulting crash grabs, and they won't make sequels of sequels of sequels that make no sense, unless they target morons since the start, like they do with 'Bang Dream' for example. To make it simple to understand, because Japan is not the USA, 'Cross Ange' won't become 'Star Wars'. If Hollywood and Disney have been long dead by now, i still have some hope for japanese animation.
