Indeed. Compared to the other girls, her relationship with Haoyi seems to be the most developed and thought out. From the fact she doesn't seem as jealous or aggressive as the others. It's really rare that you find a main girl who isn't, childish, a ditz, or one dimensional. Her only real obstacle is Xueli who is doing her best to get in the way.

Yeah I agree! when they introduced Xueli and Yuan Li as characters, it felt like they are just forcing themselves onto Haoyi. I'm rooting for Haoyi to either end up with Zitong, Xuan, or (even Tata) cause she is even starting to like Haoyi.

Well even Haoyi thinks Xueli would be better with someone else. I honestly don't think he likes her that way. He probably see's her as the scary friend who treated him like a possession. Because I believe he stopped holding himself back academically so he could get some distance between him and her.

Comparing the others...

Tang Xuan is something of a Tsundere, I don't think he feels as much for her as he seems to for Zitong. He is more concerned with helping her get out of her shell. He wants her to be more feminine is my guess.

Lin Yuan is I don't want to say frigid. But she lacks a good feeling of warmth. Her personality is rather rough. She just doesn't quite have that warm personality that someone like Zitong has. But I think it could be owned up to the fact her living conditions aren't so great. But I think maybe in Season 2 she could begin opening up more and showing that kinder side.

I feel that Zitong just established something more within the first parts of the story. While everyone else was sure he faked jumping from the roof, she remained their, upset because she was sure he died. And as the story goes on it become clear that he is perhaps opening up to her more than any of the other girls. And part of the story is about the girls making him open up, since he was more interested in just being left alone until all the girls came after him. Though like, Mei Tata said even before the magic these girls were being drawn towards him, he just didn't realize it.

Next season though, we'll get the next three and who knows what we're in store for. And of course there was someone else we couldn't see in that scene their face was hidden, so I wonder what kind of twist we'll be in for. Because I get the feeling that whoever we aren't seeing is the equivalent of the Final Boss. I was skeptical about this show at first, but I took a chance and I was impressed. But I do hope the next girls bring some astonishing personalities so they can truly stand apart, but I do want Lin Yuan and Tang Xuan to get some character development, even Xueli should at some point tone down her crazy just a little. At least enough that he might see her as a woman and not the reason he will end up dead, because she is scary.

Zitong is mine <3,if there will be season two, i hope they can do it better, i mean the story was good until episode 6,i feel the quality of this series has decrease aftet that,not the art but stories, wtf with that rushed and unexplained plot and unneeded scene for e.g about xueli ex, if that have no impact to the story,what is that for? , even the mc personality has changed so suddenly,and wtf is mei tata power for if she doesn't do anything, haha.. But still i love this show.

I think Mei Tata is basically there to guide Haoyi so that he can conquer their love. Or she is haunting him since he ate her cake

Mei Tata is a good character in the story thats starting to like the protagonist, she did save him once or twice in the story

Just finished watching the first season. I really enjoyed it, more than I thought I would. Harems are very hit and miss (mostly miss) but this one pretty much hit the mark for me.

What makes this series work is, Zitong who is more or less the main girl of the harem, she is actually interesting. Often times the main girls in these shows are boring. I dunno if it's the authors playing it safe or what. But for once I am supporting the main girl because she actually seems to be the best match for Haoyi.

Well this may just be the chinese version of the world god only know. but with different characters and a different story.

I mean the plot is the same. Kiss the girl to wipe away the curse. But in this anime the girls keep their memories.

It is similiar, but different in the sense that the harem ending might really happen as mei tata is a semi omnipotent being that can change many things. Aside from that, light novels and manhwa from china are really accepting of harem endings unlike what we have in Japan.

I am really looking forward for the season 2 for this anime. It would be even better if they could provide japanese and english dubs and subs.
I really would like Cupid's Chocolates in Japanese dub as till now I have watched mostly japanese anime so hearing chinese language really confuses me.

Yeah. I am always listening to japanese dubbed animes. Now, hearing all this chinese stuff is making my mind language a little dizzy. I'm still not used to it. And why do i recognize the art style used in this anime? I think i saw it with a similar japanese anime...

Yeah I also want to know what's happened between them too.

I think, he tried to sexually assault her or maybe he actually raped her that's why she became so crazy and yandere.
