 ~ Dagashi Kashi ~ Synopsis "Shikada Kokonotsu's father owns a rural sweets shop, and his plan is for Kokonotsu to take it over one day. However, Kokonotsu wants to be a manga author instead! One day in summer, the cute but weird girl Shidare Hotaru, from the famous sweets company, comes to pay a visit. Apparently, Kokonotsu's father is famous and she wants him to join her family's company. | Made me giggle a bunch of times, as long as Hotaru's silly behavior isn't used as the ground for every joke in the show then I'm in, even if it were I'd still stick to the show just for Keiji Fujiwara. Saya a best. |

| Dagashi Kashi Episode 1 Thoughts So I'm having trouble how I should handle this episode. I'm indifferent on it, not because it is bad, but because it wasn't what I expected. I was expecting Hotaru Shidare to be more Tsundereish but instead she is just and candy/junkfood airhead. I think I like her better this way. Is it funny? Yes Is it Entertaining? Yes Is it WTF Comedy? That is to be seen. If it can land into my WTF comedy sub-category of comedy than maybe this show will be good if not than it will end up being average-above average. |

| Certainly nothing ground-breakingly new and unique, but I like it so far. Each of the characters seem entertaining, and I definitely see myself at least enjoying this one all the way through. |

| I feel like the show is starting to become monotonous to me. The characters just aren't that strong in the show and when you don't know the snacks that they are eating. What is the factor that draws you into the show? The occasional lewd scene like when they cooked the ramen in the shop? I did like the bringing in Youtube in the last episode. A lot of people do review food on youtube and get to over a million subscribers. and...like most, acting completely fangasmic like JonTron usually what gets you to the top. Kokonotsu got more views than his dad in one video XD. |

| We still have half of the anime to watch x_x I still think the anime might be better for people from japan ... I this show might make me go after some japanese candies after all. |

| Just finished the show. Generally it is very informative and good to relax to, but if you are not interested in Dagashi at all it´s basically impossible to enjoy so it is not an anime for everyone. I like how they didn´t feel the need to force some supporting characters into this. Just the 5 of them was perfect for this anime. The ending was really unsatisfying. Saya and To were just left behind in the café and that´s it, they deserved a better farewell then this. Also the ending is as open as it gets which is kind of boring in this case as there will not be asecond season for sure right? |
| Started it because of Hotaru, but couldn't stand how nothing was happening, had to drop it. |
