A season 2 doesn't seem likely, however a slice of life spin-off where we see the remaining character's relationships grow would be more likely. It isn't likely but I would watch that.

Maybe the 2 will talk about another thing with different characters and story maybe IT won't be horror maybe will be romantic,ecc....The 3 will have a different story....i want that they will make another 2 3

Coming from 2018, there is a sequel for the manga and it comes from the point of view of someone Dead. He is the "other" Sakaki and meets Mei Misaki because she can see him. It, apparently, goes through how his family pretends he's alive even though he knows he's dead and so do they. So it should be interesting and it would make for a pretty good second season storyline:to get the perspective of the Dead person since we didn't get to see what Reiko Mikami was going through and whether she really was unaware of herself being the extra.

the thing is would it be interesting im up for 2 season i dont really care if it is gonna be mysterious or shit like that i just wanna see more from the characters even if they turn it into a comedy (and btw pls akizawa be alive i kinda liked you xD)

Tbh, I'm looking forward to it.

My prediction is they will figure out how to resolve the Curse forever. And maybe by chance see who's the mastermind behind the curse.

Yes, but, as much as i want to believe it, it is possible, that there won't be a season 2. Sometimes even if the author wants to make more the first season just isn't successful enough.

What if Koichi died at the end of season 1? You can see him holding his chest after he killed the extra, probably because of his heart condition. So, what if he died and became the new extra? It would make for a great season 2.

Unless they have other ideas for season 2.
But seriously, another season is unnecessary

The curse still continues, only those in their class have survived for now, maybe they can take a season to end the curse completely, they can even do these events in 2 parts and there are unfinished parts in the story.

True I would love to see that happening. I just finished watching it now, and I must say the story and the nature of the plot does really intrigued me. All we can do now is hope that there'll be a news about it in this coming months or years. It will always depend on chances and opportunity in this kind of industry were one hit wonder anime series does go to a halt due to external circumstances. At the end of the day the original material will be the vital basis of it all, thus comes Yukito Ayatsuji's move towards this series continuation.

I know this forum is probably dead, but still I don't believe it needs a season 2. Although they didn't actually get to uncover the secret of this curse, they simply just killed the "extra" one. I think it needs an OVA series with about 2-4 episodes max. Just explaining the entire story of that curse

I think actually it needs a sequal because there are many mysteries where never revealed.

1. Who killed Reiko mikami at the riverside
2. Why the calamity had started after the student named Misaki in 1972 dead
3. Why the students and teachers acted like Misaki is still alive
4. How to stop the calamity parmenently
5. Why the dead one's coming back to life

Still There are many mysteries where never solved in another so I think we definitely need a sequel.
