The implication was that she was so close to death after the fight that her inner-beast kicked in for self-preservation, and she returned to a berserk state from her past. As for Mikoto fainting, I would guess she was foolishly assuming she would get to kiss Arashi before anyone else. Given how bold Hitsugi is and the latter's connection to Arashi from the past, she should have at least seen the possibility of this happening. |
